Jacquie has spent over 12 years professionally working with cardio-respiratory, neurological and metabolic clients to improve function. Her paediatric journey began after birth of her two children. It was then when she began to appreciate the journey of motherhood and the challenges and joys associated with pregnancy, birth and parenting children throughout various developmental milestones. To assist her children and mothers alike,
Jacquie began running sports-based classes for pre-schoolers, school aged children and adolescents who were most vulnerable at being exposed to inactivity and its detrimental effects to development. She began to specialise in evidence-based exercise practices for children who were diagnosed with global development delays, autism and ADHD. It became evident that these children had similar postures, movement patterns and shared the same motor delays. In addition to this, many of these children experienced similar birthing challenges, skipped fundamental movement stages such as crawling and continued to show signs of developmental red flags.
Jacquie has used primitive reflex integration techniques to improve the lives of her own children and children alike. She has specialised training and experience in the field of Functional Neurology where she continues to learn and apply the most current evidence based research and protocols to her treatment plans to ensure her approach is holistic and effective. Jacquie brings this along with her movement-based intervention to Qspeech where she will offer:
1. Primitive Reflex Integration
2. Balance and Postural Training
3. Strength and muscle tone
